Half of all breast cancers are found because someone noticed a change in their breast, and showed their doctor.
It’s important that you check your breasts regularly, know what’s normal for you, and report any changes to your doctor, even if you’ve had a mammogram recently.
Most breast changes aren’t cancerous
Most breast changes are caused by benign ( non-cancerous) conditions. Even so, it’s important to show any changes to your doctor so that breast cancer can be ruled out. If your unusual change isn’t breast cancer, it could be one of these benign breast conditions.
