Our Dancing Queen: Shavaughn Ruakere
The 2018 series of Dancing with the Stars NZ saw Shavaughn Ruakere dance for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ as her chosen charity.
Shavaughn and partner Enrique did a fantastic job reaching the final stage of the competition - placing 4th overall. From samba to foxtrot, the pair gave the competition their all and inspired voters across New Zealand to keep them in the competition.
BCFNZ chief executive Evangelia Henderson says: ‘’A huge congratulations to Shavaughn for her amazing achievement. We are so grateful to the New Zealand public for their support and for the funds raised for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. Shavaughn danced with great emotion and love for her dear friend Helena, who was close to the Foundation and believed in raising awareness of the disease for all New Zealanders."
The total amount of money raised for charities this season will be announced at the end of the month.
