Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. Promotion: Participation into the ‘Pink Ribbon Breakfast’ (Promotion) is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Information on How to Participate in the Competition form part of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The Promoter of the Competition: Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand (BCFNZ)
  3. Promotion Period: The Promotion commences at 23 February 2018 and closes at midnight on 6 May 2018.
  4. Who can enter? Entry is open to residents of New Zealand only, subject to these Terms and Conditions (Eligible Entrant). You are not eligible to participate if you are an employee of the Promoter or its related corporations or agencies, or a member of an employee’s immediate family.
  5. Under 18? If you are under 18 years old at the time of entering, you must obtain prior permission and consent from your legal parent or guardian. Your parent or guardian must have read the Terms and Conditions and may be required by the Promoter to enter into further agreement as evidence of consent.
  6. Prize terms: The winning prize is One set up of ‘The Table’ (Prize). The winner will be drawn on the 7th of May 2018 and will be the first valid entry selected by random draw from all eligible entries, under supervision, and at the BCFNZ office. In the event the winner cannot be contacted within 3 days of the prize draw, or cannot accept the Prize, a new winner will be drawn on the same terms as the original Prize draw. The prize will only be delivered after the 7th May 2018, once the winner has been contacted.
  7. The prize: The stated prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The prize is valued up to $500 NZD, and will be delivered to the winner’s location of choice within New Zealand only. The prize will consist of various ‘The Table’ elements that could include, but is not limited to, some of the following (the location of the winner will determine variations in the actual prize items):
    1. One cake from the winners local nearest baker at the choosing of BCFNZ
    2. One Mocktail set + ingredients from Cocktail Collective
    3. Floral arrangement from a selected florist at the choosing of BCFNZ
    4. Savoury muffins from a selected bakery at the choosing of BCFNZ
    5. Macaroons from a selected baker bakery at the choosing of BCFNZ
    6. Table decorations, such as napkins, platters
    7. Set of mini vases
  8. Conditions and eligibility of entry:
    1. All entrants sign up to host a Pink Ribbon Breakfast on the official website before 11:59pm on the 6th May 2018
    2. All entrants live in New Zealand
  9. Receipt of Entries: BCFNZ is not responsible or liable for any late sign ups/entries or for any problems or technical malfunction which may result in delay or failure to sign up to host a breakfast.
  10. Costs: All Promotion Participants are responsible for all costs associated with entering the Promotion, including but not limited to internet access and other unforeseen costs of redemption.
  11. Promoters Rights: The Promoter reserves the right to:
    1. Provide an alternative prize of equal monetary value in the event that the specified product becomes unavailable for any reason;
    2. Verify the validity of any redemption and determine the eligibility of participants (this covers all matters including but not limited to identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any participant or refuse to award the prize where dishonest or misleading details have been provided, or where an entrant has behaved in a fraudulent or dishonest manner, or other behaviour that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions;
    3. To terminate this promotion or amend any aspect of it without notice at any time in its sole discretion in the event that this promotion or any aspect of the promotion cannot be reasonably conducted as planned;
    4. Enforce any of its rights at any stage and failure to do so does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  12. Indemnity: As a condition of participating in this promotion, participants indemnify the Promoter, all organizers and all other persons or organizations associated in any way with the promotion against all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including legal fees on a solicitor and client basis) which the Promoter may incur arising from any aspect of participation in the promotion and/or in utilizing any aspect of the offer, howsoever caused.
  13. Publicity: By participating in this promotion, you consent to the use of your name, likeness, image or voice in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purposes of the Promotion and promotion any products manufactured, supplied or distributed by the Promoter.
  14. Privacy: The information collected about entrants in the course of the Promotion will be shared to enable the Promoter to conduct the Promotion in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (including publicity), and for promotional purposes. We will never pass your information on to any third parties without prior consent.
  15. Personal Information: Under the Privacy Act 1993, you have the right to access and correct any personal information held by the Promoter. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their address set out below.
  16. Social Media Platform Disclaimer
    1. The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest or any other social media platform on which the Promotion is promoted (Social Media Platform).
    2. By participating in this promotion, you completely release the Social Media Platform from any and all liability associated.
    3. All information provided by participating in this promotion is held by the Promoter, not the Social Media Platform.
    4. Any queries, comments or complaints must be directed to the Promoter and not the Social Media Platform.
