Work and Income - Additional benefits
If you're receiving a benefit from Work and Income, you may be entitled to additional allowances. You should ask if you're entitled to:
- Disability Allowance - assistance with cancer-related costs (keep all receipts).
- Accommodation Supplement - support with rent or cost of owning your home.
- Community Services Card - if you have a low income or on a benefit, this card reduces the cost of health services.
- Special Needs Grant - WINZ may support additional, unexpected costs.
