An artist with a BFA (hons), Rebecca can help restore what is lost through cosmetic tattooing. When all or part of the nipple/areola is lost due to mastectomy or other surgeries, a new natural looking 3D nipple/areola can be created in the skin using modern tattooing techniques. Scar camouflage is also available for any surgical scarring. Rebecca has been trained here in New Zealand as well as with trainers from Australia and the United Kingdom. She is a breast cancer survivor herself.

Women who have radiation therapy for the treatment of breast cancer have small tattoos applied as a marker. The marking is a guide to help the technician line up the radiation treatment fields the same way each time they receive treatment.

Some chemotherapies cause temporary hair loss. Your oncologist will let you know if you're likely to benefit from scalp cooling (reduce hair loss). Automated scalp cooling systems are the most effective way of preventing chemotherapy-induced alopecia. Shocking Pink aims to provide support and financial help to women diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age, 45 years and under. We offer small grants for petrol, groceries and utility bills for those in need during treatment. We also hold yearly retreats to create everlasting bonds amongst the Shocking Pink community. Our online private group is also a safe place to ask questions and vent to those who get it.

BCAC is run by breast cancer survivors, and represents more than 30 breast cancer-related groups as well as individual members. We have used our experiences to develop the Step by Step support pack. This free pack provides resources, information and advice to those newly diagnosed with breast cancer. BCAC is also able to help women navigate the health system and provide information or assistance when needed.
We offer wig expert advice and guidance to all of our alopecia, chemotherapy and hair loss condition customers in New Zealand. Our medical-quality wigs, custom made wigs, toppers, hair pieces and headwear play a major part in helping women, men and children with hair loss to feel like themselves again.

Student Volunteer Army provides fantastic support to people across the country when they're in need. They provide a range of services. For example, they provide support for grocery shopping if you're unable to do this yourself during COVID. If you need support, it's well worth giving them a call to see if they can help.

Our dragon boating club was founded in 2008. Since then, the team has paddled on the Waitara river and competes in regattas with passion, commitment and team spirit. Dragon boating is an ideal physical activity for anyone who has experienced breast cancer. It is non-weight bearing which is associated with a low risk of injury. Dragon boating also offers camaraderie, positivity and an active lifestyle.
Tauranga Yoga Centre provides a safe, supportive and fully equipped venue in which to practice yoga, together with a qualified teacher. These classes are designed for women whose lives have been affected by cancer and similar autoimmune diseases. They are designed to be gentle and nurturing. Students are taught to breathe correctly and mindfully whilst gently stretching with awareness in order to build strength and stamina.
