Radiation therapy and breast cancer. What you need to know

Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to destroy cancer cells that may have been left in the breast and surrounding area after surgery.

Our expert panel shares their experience with radiation therapy from a patient and clinical perspective. They explain how radiation therapy works, its role in breast cancer treatment, who receives radiation therapy, common side effects, and what to expect during the treatment.
