Fatigue after (and during) breast cancer

Feeling tired is a common side effect of breast cancer treatment.

While your energy levels can return to normal once your treatment has ended, this isn’t always the case. Finding ways to adjust to, and manage, fatigue is essential.

Meet your panel:

Trudi Williams was diagnosed with grade 2 breast cancer, aged 46, after noticing dimples in her breast. Trudi shared her story and how she deals with fatigue on a daily basis.

Dr Rosamund Vallings is a fatigue specialist who works with patient suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME), as well as people experiencing fatigue after cancer treatment. Ros discussed how to know when the fatigue you’re experiencing is abnormal and types of treatment for it.

Megan McEwen is the exercise physiologist behind ExerciseRX: Clinical Exercise Prescription. She specialises in using physical exercise as a rehabilitation tool for clients suffering from chronic and/or complex disability or disease. Megan spoke about exercise as a solution to fatigue and how to make it work for you.
