What is the problem and who is affected?
Lobular carcinoma in situ is a pre-cancerous condition that may play a more significant role in the development of invasive cancer than previously thought.
What is this research hoping to achieve?
Dr Ramsaroop and her team aim to deepen the understanding of this potential relationship between lobular carcinoma in situ and invasive cancer. The project will analyze data from patient journeys with lobular carcinoma in situ and collate it all in the Breast Cancer Foundation National Register.
